Chapter 3

 Thea spends some time in reflection of her past in the Canyon.  She really enjoys the canyon and even dreams of it at night.  While having a bath in the pool, she has the revelation that she wants to sing and make that her art.  (HG)

 

 

Chapter 4

 Thea invites Dr. Archie to dinner with Fred tagging along. As the two friends catch up, Fred comes to the conclusion that he likes Dr. Archie, and asks the doctor to tell him about Spanish Johnny. At the end of the visit, Fred invites Dr. Archie for a long talk.

 

 

Chapter 5

 Henry Biltmer goes walking in the caƱon and finds Fred and Thea playing together by throwing stones as far as they can. Thea is determined to throw further than Fred can, but keeps coming up short. Fred kisses her and she pushes him away quickly, so he grabs her arms so she can't push him again and he kisses her once more. The pair leave the rock pile, and Henry muses that Thea can hold her own and that Fred has a way with women. [SM]

 

 

Chapter 6

 

 Thea and Fred explore Panther Canyon, and are very flirtatious towards one another. (D.W.)

 

Chapter 7

 

Fred arrives.  He and Thea are caught in a thunderstorm while in the canyon, which seems to electrify Thea. (E.C.)
